Head eLDER, jAY sUTLIfFE
Jay is a committed Christian who seeks to live, model and teach how to apply the practical teachings of Jesus in our daily lives. Jay is from the Midwest but has planted his roots in the high country of Arizona where he also works as a Professor in the Health Sciences Department at Northern Arizona University. Together with his wife Chloe and dog Ruby, he can daily be found hiking and running the trails in the Coconino National Forest.
eLDER, gABRIEL nava
Gabriel Nava is an Elder and Head Deacon at Flagstaff SDA Church. He was raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and Los Angeles County, California, and lives here in Northern Arizona since 2011. He did his undergraduate work in History and Spanish at La Sierra University. He did his graduate coursework in Education at Azusa Pacific University, and is now enrolled in the graduate History program at Northern Arizona University. He has been working as an K-12 Teacher since 2005 and currently works at Puente de Hozho Elementary in the Flagstaff Unified School District. His biblical theological background comes from growing up in the Adventist church with a pastor father and having completed theological coursework at Universidad Adventista del Plata, La Sierra University and San Gabriel Academy.
He shares his life with his wife, Sofia Wolhein, and daughter Lucia.
He enjoys reading, hiking, running, soccer, basketball (generally all outdoor sports) as well as spending time with his family.
It is Gabriel's purpose to inspire a genuine, fun and adventurous walk with Christ and to share the hope that Christ brings to everybody he encounters.

Elder, Reinaldo Panuel
I am a sinner saved by grace. I strive to love others as Christ has loved me. My greatest treasure is a right knowledge and understanding of God, and to share this truth with others.
Elder, Ulysses Campos
Ulysses Campos is one of the Elders in the Flagstaff Seventh-day Adventist church. He and his wife Ann Marie Campos have been in Flagstaff since 2008. Since then they have seen God at work by bringing the right people at the right time to the church and seen consistent spiritual and membership growth. They have two children who love the Lord and help both Ann Marie and Ulysses in ministry. Ulysses serves as the Young Adult Director and Worship Leader. It is his purpose to lead, develop and mentor next generation leaders for God.
